1. Three individuals were seen on  the University’s Closed Circuit TV carrying a wooden bench of unknown origins near the Theta Chi Fraternity House on Wednesday, Oct. 5 at 2:29 a.m., according to UR Security Investigator Daniel Lafferty. They proceeded to throw the bench on the ground, causing it to break at several points. The individuals ran into the Sigma Alpha Mu Fraternity House as officers arrived at the Fraternity Quad and could not be found after the house was searched.

Chest pains lead to hospital visit

2. An employee in the Frederick Douglass Building went to the University Health Services building  after experiencing chest pains on Monday, Oct. 3. Afterwards, he asked to be taken to the hospital. According to Lafferty, the individual was transported to the Strong Memorial Hospital Emergency Department at 10:30 a.m.

Tired individual gets told off

3.  An individual was found sleeping in an entryway at the University Towne House on Thursday, Sept. 29 at 5:44 a.m., according to Lafferty. After it was determined that he was not affiliated with the University, the individual was issued a ban form and warned not to return to University property. He departed with no further incident.

Man seeking rest and relaxation receives warning

4. An officer observed an individual enter Eastman Theatre on Wednesday, Sept. 28 at 10:17 a.m. It was soon determined that he had no affiliation with the University. The individual claimed that he wanted to come inside to warm up, relax and listen to some music. He was given a warning and departed without further incident.

Juveniles hang out in the wrong area

5.  Two youths, about 14 years old, were observed loitering in front of the Eastman Commons Building on Thursday, Sept. 29 at 6:02 p.m. They did not seem to have a specific purpose for being there and proceeded to follow a student into the Symphony Terrace Apartments on Grove Street. When they realized that an officer was watching them, the two departed towards University Avenue. One of the youths was found by police and was warned not to loiter near the Eastman facilities. He was then taken home and released to a parent. The second youth could not be located.

Student treated for concussion

6. After bumping heads with one of her peers, a student was transported from the Delta Upsilon Fraternity House to the Strong Memorial Hospital Emergency Department on Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 9:07 p.m. The student was treated for a possible concussion. She explained that she had suffered concussions in the past and was experiencing similar symptoms.
