In the land of Overcooked 2, [๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿง…] and his [๐Ÿถ] reign over all of us poor souls who are, apparently, chefs. Every year, [๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿง…] gives awards to [๐Ÿ”๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿณ] โ€” those lucky people get to open their restaurants at altitudes where oxygen is more of a suggestion than a guarantee.

We, [๐Ÿง›๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ] and [๐Ÿบ], of course, spend our days cooking nonstop like everyone else. But right now, weโ€™re taking a break, because we simply cannot keep [๐Ÿต] to ourselves.

So. The other day, [๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿ’‹โ€๐Ÿ‘จ] showed up for our very special immersive cosplay event. They arrived in our [โ™จ๏ธ๐Ÿ’จ๐ŸŽˆ], dressed like us (yes, the point here is that weโ€™re basically [โœจ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿณ] here), and tried to run the kitchen like us.

Bold. Incorrect, but bold.

Anyways, [๐Ÿ‘ง] came in with a โ€œstrategy.โ€ The plan was: she throws [๐Ÿ…][๐Ÿฅฌ][๐Ÿง…][๐Ÿฅฉ][๐Ÿฅ’][๐Ÿค], [๐Ÿ‘ฆ] catches them and chops them, and then she cooks and sends [๐Ÿฅ—][๐Ÿ”][๐Ÿฃ] onto the belt. Simple, right?

โ€œI swear Iโ€™m not exaggerating,โ€ [๐Ÿบ] said, already laughing, โ€œthat dudeโ€™s face genuinely looked like this [๐Ÿ˜ณ].โ€

[๐Ÿ‘ฆ] had clearly never stepped into a kitchen before. You could tell. He was nervous from the start, and then he realized he had to cook… on a [โ™จ๏ธ๐Ÿ’จ๐ŸŽˆ]. At that point, his [๐Ÿ‘ป] fully left his body.

โ€œDo you remember the first time we got on a [โ™จ๏ธ๐Ÿ’จ๐ŸŽˆ]?โ€ [๐Ÿง›๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ] asked quietly, staring off into a cloud like heโ€™s in a tragic romance montage. (Weโ€™re not unpacking that right now. Thatโ€™s a whole different story.)

Back to the disaster.

By the time [๐Ÿ‘ฆ] cut the seventh wrong ingredient, [๐Ÿ‘ง]โ€™s expression had evolved through an entire emotional arc: [๐Ÿฅฐ โ†’ ๐Ÿคจ โ†’ ๐Ÿ˜ซ โ†’ ๐Ÿซฉ].

And then โ€” on the eighth mistake (which also ruined their third order) โ€” [๐Ÿ‘ง] completely lost it. She ran over, picked [๐Ÿ‘ฆ] up, and threw him off the [โ™จ๏ธ๐Ÿ’จ๐ŸŽˆ]. Then, she [๐Ÿ”ฅโฌ‡๏ธ] the kitchen.

โ€œYeah… she might have overreacted [๐Ÿค],โ€ [๐Ÿง›๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ] said, watching the ashes of what used to be the [โ™จ๏ธ๐Ÿ’จ๐ŸŽˆ] drift away.

Thankfully, [๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿง…] heard about the incident involving his [๐Ÿ”๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿณ] (us, obviously) and graciously funded us a brand new [โ™จ๏ธ๐Ÿ’จ๐ŸŽˆ].ย

So all good now ๐Ÿค™.

Mostly.

The only thing is… after [๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿ’‹โ€๐Ÿ‘จ] went back to their world, I heard they got into an actual [๐ŸฅŠ๐Ÿ’ฅ]. (Oh, ๐Ÿง how do we know? We are also proficient in online stalking ๐Ÿซฃ. THE LORE ๐Ÿ˜ˆ.)

Apparently, they tried cooking together again, back in their human world. [๐Ÿ‘ง] threw a tomato. [๐Ÿ‘ฆ] failed to catch it. Again.๐Ÿ”

[๐Ÿ‘ง] stared at him for a solid five seconds. Same progression. [๐Ÿฅฐ โ†’ ๐Ÿคจ โ†’ ๐Ÿ˜ซ โ†’ ๐Ÿซฉ]. And then she threw another tomato.

Not at the [๐Ÿ”ช๐ŸŸซ].

At [๐Ÿ‘ฆ]. Specifically at his face. Full strength. With intent. [๐Ÿ…๐Ÿ’ฅ๐ŸŒ‹]

But no one was thrown off anything this time.
