Why is porn so popular?~Clueless GirlDear Clueless Girl,Pornography, or erotica as it is sometimes called, is appealing to people for countless different reasons – but don’t be mistaken, it’s not only men who can enjoy it. Pornography gives both sexes the sense that they’re seeing something that they shouldn’t be seeing. This makes them feel devious – and makes the experience stimulating. It is also appealing because it often enacts what people fantasize about, but don’t get to experience in their real lives. For both men and women, pornography can serve as an aid for masturbation. People also sometimes play pornographic videos during sexual encounters. This can serve as background noise, or maybe even inspiration. In fact, some claim that they’d rather masturbate to pornography than hook up with a real person. This could be because many real sexual encounters are nothing like what is found in pornography, and some people prefer the fantasy. However, there are many sexually active people who masturbate to pornography. It is often difficult for women to understand the mass appeal of porn for men. Some women dislike their boyfriends watching porn because they consider it to be cheating. There are many theories about the psychological reasons for men enjoying pornography. There has been speculation that part of their fantasy is the notion of the average- looking or ugly guy getting the hot girl. Others say that it’s just a guy’s massive sex drive that pushes him to seek and enjoy pornography. It is impossible to tell why any single man watches pornography – but the general answer is that it turns them on. It is generally thought that women don’t like porn because they feel it objectifies them. However, some women actually find purely physical pornographic sex to be exciting. In the end, an adult viewing pornography is relatively harmless – as long as no one is harmed in its making, and everyone being shown is consenting and over the age of 18. Unlike many sexual acts, viewing porn is free of STD and pregnancy risk – it can also be pretty funny! Everyone, at some point in their life, should watch a staged pornography – if for no other reason then to get a good laugh out of it. So, if you’ve never seen porn, go take a peek. Maybe you’ll find a new hobby. Got a question about relationships, love or sex? E-mail Adrienne Monley for real answers to your real questions at ctfeats@hotmail.com.
