Men’s Soccer defeats defending champion in playoff
Men’s Soccer defeated Messiah College in the Elite Eight, not only breaking into the Final Four, for the first time but also avenging their loss to last year’s champion and the nation’s top-ranked team.

Though Women’s Basketball is off to a 1–4 start, junior forward Ally Forness has been an important starter. Forness leads the team in field goal percentage.

Aronson discusses swimming success
Senior swimmer Danny Aronson is an important contributor in freestyle events for the men’s swimming and diving team. Two weeks ago at Buffalo State, Aronson was one of three ‘Jackets to win two events, contributing to victories in both the 200-yard medley relay and the 400-yard freestyle relay.

Despite loss, Field Hockey qualifies for playoff tournament
Despite a 1–0 loss to Vassar College in the Liberty League Championships, Women’s Field Hockey secured an at-large berth in the NCAA Championship.

For DeRubertis, volleyball team is a family
Sophomore Allie DeRubertis leads Women’s Volleyball in points, kills, and total attacks. As outside hitter for the ‘Jackets, she has helped the team to a strong 23–9 record so far.

Bargabos barges to invitational victory
Senior distance runner Rachel Barbagos is an important contributor to a strong track team. On Sept. 15, Barbagos finished first in a field of 212 runners at the UR Yellowjacket Cross Country Invitational, helping the ‘Jackets place second in that meet.

Interceptions help football win defensive battle
Men’s Football defeated Alfred State 20–14 on Saturday, Sept. 15, in a defensive battle.
The ‘Jackets defense hauled in six interceptions, four of which came from junior defensive back Robert Grant, and secured their first win of the season.

For Cooley, close-knit team enhances soccer experience
Junior midfielder Josh Cooley has been a key contributor for Men’s Soccer this season. This past Saturday, his goal against Buffalo State helped the ‘Jackets improve to 5–0 on the season.

Men’s Soccer defeated the visiting Hobart Statesmen 2–1, running their undefeated record to 3–0–0.
