Girl Scout found intoxicated at fraternityJust before 9:00 p.m. on the evening of Jan. 26, the family member of a 15 year old visitor to the campus notified security that he was unable to locate his sister.

The girl was reportedly at UR to attend a Girl Scout event and was supposed to have contacted her family for a ride home following the event, which was scheduled to end at 1:30 p.m. The family member came to look for his sister when she failed to call.

Officers began checking the campus in an attempt to locate the girl while the family member waited with a security supervisor at a prearranged pick up point for the girl, who did not show up.

Around 2:38 a.m. the girl called the security dispatcher and the location was determined to be the Psi Upsilon fraternity house.

Security responded and located the girl inside the house. She told officers that she had consumed alcohol and, according to responding officers, she “exhibited mannerisms associated with intoxication.”

Circumstances surrounding the incident are still being investigated. The girl was reunited with her family and taken home.

There were no injuries at the time of the report.

The employee is believed to be responsible for the theft of two postal money orders.

The staff member in question admitted to taking the money orders and then fraudulently negotiating them in order to obtain $1,400 in cash.

Unidentified person found in parking lot

Officers responding to the call located the car and found the individual in question to be unaffiliated with the university.

The driver stated that she had driven to campus with an unidentified student whom she had met earlier off campus.

She stated that she drove to UR so the student could get a coat from her room before they went out for breakfast.

The driver was unable to provide any specific information about the student she said she had come with.

The driver was told to leave the property and was advised not to return to UR.
