The UR men’s and women’s’ basketball teams have had excellent seasons this year. The men’s team has won 25 out of 27 games. And for the second consecutive time, the UR women’s basketball team has made it to the Final Four in the NCAA, placing itself among the forefront in its sport. Hearty congratulations are in order for the members and coaching staff of both teams for their achievements. The first of the Final Four games begins this Friday at Virginia Wesleyan College. The Dean of Students Office, Wilson Commons, Student Activities and others should be praised for offering a roundtrip ride, tickets to the games and accommodations in Virginia for a superb package deal of only $50. We urge students to take advantage of this unique opportunity. For a very low price, students can travel off-campus to Virginia for the weekend to support the women’s team. UR is the only team playing in the Final Four this year that played last year and the women have the chance to prove themselves as the best team in their national division. Good luck in your championship!
