An undergraduate student was transported from the campus bookstore to Strong Memorial Hospital after experiencing an apparent seizure, according to UR Security Investigator Dan Lafferty.
Officers responding to the scene found the student to be breathing but not responsive upon their arrival. The student had fallen to the floor.
MERT personnel were called, as well as an ambulance. The vehicle transported the student to Strong for further evaluation and care.
During the ambulance ride, the student became somewhat alert but was still disoriented. The student did not know what had happened and could not answer questions.
The incident occurred at 11:01 a.m. on Friday.
Rochester resident trespasses twice in one night
A Rochester resident who has no affiliation with the University was arrested for trespassing in Susan B. Anthony Halls on Saturday morning at 2:50 a.m., according to Lafferty.
The resident in question is 19-year old Jamal Johnson. Johnson had been issued an interim ban form three hours earlier in the evening advising him to stay off University property.
This time, the suspect was found on the fourth floor of the building by a security officer, who contacted the police officers.
The suspect was warned and advised not to return to University property. The suspect was taken from the campus by police.
Youths caught entering Wilson Commons
Officers patrolling Wilson Commons on Saturday observed two youths walking into the game room area on the third floor, according to Lafferty.
When questioned by security, the youths stated that they were in the building to use the computers.
The youths were both 12 years old.
Neither youth had any form of identification. They claimed that they had no means of contacting their parents.
Police responding to the scene planned to take the youths to an off-campus location, pending notification of their parents.
The incident occurred at 9:05 p.m.
Pallets taken, returned to Eastman Commons
An individual was observed taking wooden pallets from behind the loading dock area at the Eastman Commons Building, according to Lafferty.
The individual was identified and found to have no affiliation with the University.
The individual returned the pallets when asked and was warned and advised not to return to the property.
The incident occurred at 6:20 a.m. on Friday.
