Radio stolen from vehicle parked in ValentineA car stereo was stolen from a student’s car parked in Valentine Lot between 2 a.m. and 9:40 a.m. on Feb. 28. The thief entered the car by smashing the driver’s side window, according to security. The stereo was estimated in value at $300. A police report was to be filed at a later time. A second vehicle was broken into during the same time, but nothing was reported stolen from the car, according to UR Security Investigator Dan Lafferty.

Sue B. resident ill from alcoholSecurity responded to a resident advisor’s report of a sick student in Susan B. Anthony Hall at roughly 2 a.m. on February 29. The 18-year-old student was evaluated and security determined that alcohol consumption was the main cause of his condition.However, he was determined to be stable enough to remain on his own.

Visitor urinates off of Psi Upsilon porch Security officers observed an individual urinating off the porch at the Psi Upsilon house at approximately 2 a.m. on February 29, according to Lafferty.The individual was visiting a brother of the fraternity and was not affiliated with the university. Alcohol was a major contributing factor in this incident.

Trio tries to start fight in Psi UpsilonA security officer on patrol noticed three non-affiliated suspects outside the Psi Upsilon, shouting swears at brothers and challenging them to fight at 2:30 a.m. on February, according to Lafferty. On scene follow up found that the suspects had been at a party in the house. When they were asked to leave, they became argumentative and started swinging at people in the house. Several brothers escorted the three outside to prevent further problems. They were identified, warned and advised against further similar behavior, according to UR Security. They departed the property without further incident. However, the three suspects felt they had been unnecessarily singled out and had not been causing any problems in the house, according to UR Security.

Fight at fraternity house An argument between a female student, a brother of Psi Upsilon and another student escalated to a physical fight just before 3 a.m. on February 29. The student was trying to enter the party, but the other student involved stopped her.There was an argument which came to blows. Each student reports being struck once and the female sustained a laceration under her eye, according to security. The student refused medical care and a police report has not yet been filed. The case has been referred to the Dean of Student’s Office for further review.
