Were you disappointed when you listened to the Moulin Rouge soundtrack and couldn’t find “Like a Virgin” or “Spectacular, Spectacular” and noticed that the version of Sparkling Diamonds was clipped, cut and generally reduced?

Baz Luhrmann listened to your cry of anguish and released Moulin Rouge 2 with the music from the movie that was too campy or classy for the mainstream soundtrack.

Complete with a remix of “One Day I’ll Fly Away” and two instrumental versions of “Your Song,” this CD is a must-buy for any fan of the eye-searing technicolor masterpiece.

The remix of “One Day I’ll Fly Away” is a bit disconcerting at times. It’s cut and pasted in an intentionally obvious way, that makes you wonder if the CD has skipped, but after a few listens it grows on you.

“Meet Me In the Red Room” by Amiel is a song I’d completely forgotten from the movie, but it’s quite fun to listen to. Its got a retro ? think 1920s ? rhythm that will have you bouncing along.
