Students rushed to Strong HospitalA student, who was found ill in Susan B. Anthony Residence Halls, was taken to Emergency Department at Strong Memorial Hospital after 1:30 a.m. on Feb. 19.Likewise, another student living in Burton was taken to the Emergency Department at Strong Memorial Hospital after he was reportedly injured.

Students in violation of drug, alcohol policyA student in Valentine was found in violation of the university drug policy before 8 p.m. on Feb. 21, according to UR Security. The student was identified and warned.Meanwhile, an intoxicated student in Sue B. was found in violation of the university alcohol policy and was taken to the Emergency Department at Strong by an ambulance on Feb. 21, according to UR Security.Several other students also from Valentine were found to be in violation of the university alcohol and drug policies before 11 p.m. on Feb. 21. Similarly, a student in Sigma Chi was found to be in violation of the university drug policy and was taken to the Emergency Department at Strong, according to security.More students were found in violation of the alcohol policy on Dandelion Square on Feb. 20, according to UR Security. The students were identified and warned, according to UR Security.

Money stolen from Sue. B. HallMoney was reported stolen from an unsecured room in Sue B. Approximately $110 was reported stolen, according to UR Security.Bicycle reported stolen from rack A bicycle was reported taken from a bike rack near the Crittenden entrance of the River Campus before 8 a.m. on Feb. 19.The bicycle was worth approximately $300, according to UR Security.Students found in RRL after operating hours Several students were warned after they were found in Rush Rhees Library after hours without any legitimate reason for being there, according to UR Security.

As recently as the early 2010s, it was standard practice for surgeons to provide 30 to 40 or more opioid pills for common, minimally invasive procedures. Most of these pills, however, would remain untouched, left over in the patient’s medical cabinet or kitchen pantries for potential misuse.
