A bag containing pole vaulting equipment was stolen from Fauver Stadium on April 12. The bag, which belonged with another area college was found to be missing following a track meet.

Originally, the owners of the equipment thought that it might have been accidentally packed by another team, but after checking, it could not be found.

It is not known why the equipment was taken.

Both the track team and UR Security are encouraging those with information to contact them. The equipment was estimated to have a value of $5,500.

X-Box taken from Slater suite

A student in Slater reported that an X-Box and five games had been taken from the common area of his suite on the morning of April 19. $60 in cash was also missing from his room.

According to UR Security, the incident occurred between 1:30 a.m. and noon. At the time, the suite was unlocked but occupied. No suspect was seen. A report was filed with the Rochester Police Department.

The X-Box and games had an estimated value of $400.

Credit card, cash

stolen from Gale

$150 in cash and a credit card were taken from wallets in two students’ rooms in Gale on April 20.

The incident occurred between 12:30 and 10 a.m. The cash was taken from one student’s wallet and the credit card from the other. Both were asleep at the time, and the wallets were on the students’ dressers, according to security.

There was an attempt to use the credit card at a local store on the same day. One of the students filed a report with RPD.

Area man arrested on trespass charges

William Rodriguez, 50, of Rochester was arrested on April 22 on charges of trespass after being reported as walking a bike through the Hill Court area while carrying a bicycle lock.

According to UR Security, Rodriguez was originally cooperative when questioned but became evasive in answering questions. Upon being informed that he was being arrested, the suspect attempted to flee from security.

Rodriguez was turned over to RPD officers. The bike was turned over to UR Security for safekeeping until an owner could be identified.

Injured student taken from Sue B. roof

An undergraduate student was removed from the roof of the Friel Lounge after 11:30 a.m. yesterday. The student was taken to the hospital with lacerations to the arms. The student is in stable condition.

According to Director of UR Security Walter Mauldin, the student was rescued from the roof after another student called security. Both UR Security and RPD responded.
