Once again, the men’s and women’s cross country teams registered solid performances. The men posted a fifth-place finish at St. Lawrence University on Saturday. The women also had a strong showing, finishing sixth. The fields were by far the largest of the season, as the men and women competed against 16 and 18 other teams, respectively. Junior Christina Michael paced the women’s team, finishing in ninth place overall with a time of 23:45. Senior Dan Duett led the men’s team, finishing in 11th place with a time of 26:43. The URochester Yellowjackets played the Tufts University Jumbos Sept. 26, in a game of field hockey dedicated to Morgan Rodgers, a former lacrosse player from Duke University who passed in 2019 from suicide. The URochester field hockey chapter of Morgan’s Message was there to eliminate the stigma around mental health and asking for help when needed. The Morgan’s Message game is always the last home game in September, to round out Suicide Prevention Month. Read More
