The women hit the ice last Sunday against SUNY Brock-port. In the end, they found themselves at unfamiliar ter-ritory ? the winning circle.

The UR women tasted their first victory, beating Brockport Demons 4-3.

Senior goalie and co-captain Kate Donhauser scored two goals to lead the team to success.

Junior forward Julie Lowell con-tributed the other two goals.

Brockport attempted to halt the UR offense by pulling their goalie with one minute left in the game to put an extra attacker on the ice.

UR has two games left in the season with a game against the Demons this Friday at 6:45 p.m. at Genessee Valley Park and Saturday at 3 p.m. against Wil-liam Smith College.

The women will wrap up their season in two weeks.
