Eastman School of Music students reported being approached by an unidentified male suspect in the Eastman Student Living Center at 12:38 p.m. on Sunday, according to UR Security Investigator Dan Lafferty. The suspect started asking questions and followed the students into the elevator. While in the elevator, the suspect inappropriately touched the buttocks of one of the students. The students exited the elevator to call for assistance and the suspect fled the scene. UR Security follow up identified the suspect as a student of another area college. The victim is currently considering initiating criminal charges against the suspect.Man masturbates in Carlson Library
A female graduate student studying in Carlson Library reported an unidentified suspect was masturbating in an aisle next to where she was studying on Saturday, according to Lafferty. The student screamed and the suspect left the scene. The victim and other students followed the suspect out of the building, but lost track of him. One student reported that the suspect entered a vehicle and drove away. The victim filed a police report.Student gets an unwelcome visit
A student reported her former boyfriend entered her room and refused to leave at 4:15 p.m. on Monday, according to Lafferty.She called UR Security officers, who were able to locate and identify the suspect and his friend. Both attend another area college. Officers warned the two and advised them not to return to the university. They departed without further incident.Keys stolen from Rush Rhees
A student reported his book bag was tampered with in Rush Rhees Library between 3:10 and 6:05 p.m. on Sept. 14, according to UR Security. The student left the bag when he went to class, and when he returned, he discovered his bag with his books but without his personal keys. A search of the area yielded no results.Computer and camera stolen from Munro A Munro Hall resident reported his computer and digital camera stolen between 2 and 2:40 a.m. Sunday, according to UR Security. The stolen electronics are valued at an estimated $3,300. The student’s room was unlocked and unoccupied during that time. The victim intends to file a police report.
