Several people were observed standing in a line across the sidewalk blocking the entrance steps of Morey Hall facing Crosby Hall, according to UR Security Investigator Dan Lafferty.

Persons trying to enter or depart the building were observed walking around the group of nine who were blocking the walk.

When someone stood in front of them, they would let them walk by then quickly return to their place in line, according to UR Security.

The students were identified as potential members of Alpha Delta Phi Fraternity. A member of the fraternity claimed that they had been doing the ritual for over 100 years.

They were told that they had to step aside when people approached. Later, they were spoken to by Dean of The College William Green, according to UR Security.

Trespassers caught by student aide

Two students approached a student aide outside Wilson Commons at 12:07 a.m. on April 18 and asked where they could find a good party, according to Lafferty.

The two told the aide that they were looking for a friend who was a UR student, but the directory was checked with negative results.

After determining they had no legitimate business on campus, the two were escorted from the property without incident.

Visitor injured

A visitor sustained injuries after she leaned against the windows outside the Community Education Office entrance at the Eastman School of Music and the glass broke on April 16, according to Lafferty.

The victim fell backward through the window and was cut by glass, according to UR Security.

She sustained some lacerations. Her father was notified, and he transported her to the Rochester General Hospital for further evaluation and treatment.

Intoxicated student taken to Strong

Officers responded to Theta Chi Fraternity for the report of a person having a seizure on April 16, according to UR Security.

Upon arriving, officers found a intoxicated 20-year-old student, who was transported via ambulance to Strong Memorial Hospital for further evaluation and treatment, according to Lafferty.

Basketball player

taken to Strong

An undergraduate student sustained an injury when he fell on his head and his left wrist while playing basketball.

The victim was transported to the emergency room at Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Staff member’s wallet stolen from office

A staff member’s wallet was stolen from her unlocked, unattended office on April 16. The victim filed a police report, according to Lafferty.
