Playing with intensity and enthusiasm, Bhattacharya was able to win a grueling tiebreaker and come back to win after losing the second set. Freshman Thanos Kantarelis and sophomore Eric Hansen won the title and became the doubles ITA Regional Champions, defeating David Chachu and Rod Razavi of Rochester Institute of Technology 8-4. The three advance to the Wilson/ITA National Championships at Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Fla. from Oct. 14-17.Lee can be reached at alee@campustimes.org.
