Rochester field hockey swept all opponents on back-to-back game days this weekend. On Friday the Yellowjackets defeated the Hamilton College Continentals 5-0. Sophomore Revay Wilson scored the first goal 5:45 into the game and was quickly followed by senior captain Erin Charnow’s goal off of a pass from sophomore Kristy Johnson. The third goal of the first half was scored by sophomore Emily Zametkin. In the second half, sophomore Krista Butler and freshman Kari Plewniak secured the win with one goal each. Freshman goalies Rachel Cahan and Robin Levy held Hamilton scoreless with a combined effort of five saves. Saturday’s game against St. Lawrence University ended in a 4-1 win for the Yellowjackets. Johnson assisted Wilson and Plewniak for the first two goals of the game, then scored the last goal, unassisted, with less than a minute remaining. Sophomore captain Mary DiMatteo also contributed to the win with a goal in the second half. Rochester will leave Fauver Stadium to face SUNY Brockport and William Smith College on the road this week.

An open letter to all members of any university community

Dinner for Peace was an unconventional way of protesting for Palestine

The dinner showcased aspects of Palestinian culture. It was a unique way of protesting against the genocide, against the Israeli occupation, against the university’s involvement with the genocide.
