UR women’s volleyball team fell to visiting Rochester Institute of Technology 3-2 at the Palestra on Tuesday night. Every set was close and hotly contested, but the RIT Tigers prevailed 27-30, 31-29, 30-27, 19-30, 16-14.Sophomore Susan Johnson led the Yellowjackets with 22 kills and 20 assists. Senior Kristin Vogt added 14 kills and six blocks. Juniors Haley Massa and Kate Czarniak had nine kills apiece, while Czarniak also had six blocks. Senior Liz Lovelass led with 46 assists and 22 digs. Senior Grace Kraay added 23 kills. The Yellowjackets now sport a record of 10-3. Quan can be reached at cquan@campustimes.org.
