I have just watched “The Passion of the Christ.” and I hate to think of all the people that will see this and think it is the true gospel of what happened just simply because they don’t take the time to read the Bible for themselves. I defy anyone to read not only Matthew chapters 26-28, but all four gospel accounts of the crucifixion and write 15 percent of what I just watched. This movie is almost pure fiction and was demonically inspired. This is how satan wishes the crucifixion had taken place.

Yes, Matthew 26:67 says He was spit on, buffeted and smote with the palms of their hands, but beaten to the extent the movie depicted is a complete falsehood. The scourging that Jesus endured was administered by Pontius Pilate just like it says in Matthew 27:26. This was God’s doing and had a distinct spiritual purpose. Then He was delivered to the soldiers in verses 27-32 and they spit upon Him, and took the reed, and smote Him on the head. They didn’t beat Him over every inch of His body like the movie falsely depicted and as satan wishes had happened.

I challenge Christians to read the Bible so they can know what the Bible says without being at the mercy of a movie like “The Passion of the Christ”.
