An undergraduate student was reportedly assaulted while walking to the Alpha Delta Phi fraternity house on March 23 at approximately 4:20 a.m.

Two members of a group of four persons crossed the fraternity quad from the sidewalk between the Sigma Chi and Delta Upsilon fraternity houses and struck the victim several times in the face. The suspects then fled the scene and drove away in a car from Todd Lot.

The victim sought assistance at the ADP house and security was notified. The victim was treated and released from Strong Memorial Hospital for injuries to his eyes and head.

Associate Dean of Students Matthew Burns said that if the suspects were students, they will face stiff penalties.

“An appropriate range of penalities would range from removal from residence to expulsion from the university,” Burns said. “Acts of violence aren’t usually treated very softly by the [All Campus Judicial Council].”

“It was unproked,” President of ADP and sophomore Bijan Pajoohi said. “He had never seen them before.”

Anyone with information should contact security.
