To donate blood is to give someone the gift of life. The Red Cross has used this motto for years to increase and promote blood donations nationwide. Never has this statement been more true than now. Blood banks are routinely below needed levels with their resources heavily stressed by everyday medical demands. Please go donate blood at area Red Cross facilities and hospitals now and on a regular basis to avoid such shortages in times of need.
