At around 2:30 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 20, the Sigma Alpha Mu Fraternity house was subject to a barrage of flying eggs thrown by two students.

According to UR Security Investigator Daniel Lafferty, one student admitted to throwing eggs at the house.

He claimed he did so because he had been called an upsetting name by one of the Sigma Alpha Mu brothers.

The student who admitted to launching the eggs obtained them from the fraternity house he was pledging.

Student suffers seizure during math exam

Early on Thursday, Feb. 19, at approximately 8:30 a.m., a student was transported from Hoyt Hall to Strong Memorial Hospital after experiencing a seizure.

According to Lafferty, the student reportedly lost consciousness for three to four minutes during the episode.

Food thieves strike again in the Pit

In two separate incidents on Friday, Feb. 20, two undergraduates were caught stealing food from the Wilson Commons Pit.

One of the students explained that he felt the University owed him money, because he had a previous meal plan that had money remaining on it.

According to Lafferty, the students were forced to render payment for the stolen food items.

Both undergraduates were warned and advised against similar future behavior after the incident.

There have been other reports in the past few where students have been caught stealing from the Pit.

Jumping student hits head in Wilder

A student jumping from a chair in Wilder Tower sustained a laceration that required treatment at Strong Memorial Hospital.

On Saturday, Feb. 21, at 2 a.m., the student reportedly hit his head on a cement ceiling rafter. The student was transported via ambulance, according to Lafferty.

Shoe thief snags one in Tiernan Hall

A student reported one shoe stolen sometime between midnight and 1 a.m on Saturday, Feb 21. The shoe was stolen in Tiernan Hall.

According to Lafferty, a suspect has yet to be identified.

Ill student transported by Security

UR Security came to the aid of an ill student on Saturday, Feb. 21.

The student, who resides in Gilbert Hall, was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital from the dormitory via UR Security, according to Lafferty.

Soccer player suffers injury in Goergen

A soccer player sustained a knee injury in the Goergen Field House on Sunday, Feb. 22, that required treatment at Strong Memorial Hospital.

According to Lafferty, the player suffered the injury in the late afternoon.

Around 5 p.m., the student was then transported from the River Campus’s University Health Services to Strong Memorial Hospital.

The student then received care and treatment.
