Each spring as registration nears, various departments around campus offer open houses so students can become more acclimated to their programs before they register for classes next fall. This year is no exception in that regard.

This week alone the Psychology, History, Mathematics, African-American Studies, Religion and Classics, Biomedical Engineering, Gender and Women’s Studies, Optics, Film and Media Studies, Earth and Environmental Sciences and Music Departments are all holding open houses to entice students to enroll in their classes. Next week the Anthropology Department offers an open house to students on Monday during lunchtime.

Open houses also provide a great opportunity to meet with professors if you are looking for an adviser for next year, if you need help in deciding on a major, or if you have any general questions for a particular department. You might even be able to obtain that all important recommendation from a professor during this time.

Registration for the fall 2003 semester is the week of April 7-11. For more information concerning open houses or registration please contact the College Center of Academic Support at x5-2354.
