Spend the evening listening to some upbeat, relaxing jazz at the Little Caf on East Avenue Friday. Starting at 8:30 p.m., Eastman School of Music Jazz Guitar and UR Jazz Theory Professor Bob Sneider will be playing a duo with his jazz partner Tony Padilla.

Sneider will perform jazz and Latin pieces selected from his upcoming release entitled ?Out of Darkness,? which will be coming out this May.

Sneider graduated from the River Campus in 1993 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in music.

He toured with two-time Grammy winner Chuck Mangione for nearly four years before coming to Eastman as a professor.

Sneider has won several awards for his music, including Downbeat?s 1989 Outstanding Performance in Jazz award at the high school level and the collegiate level in 1993. He has one CD already out, called ?Introducing Bob Sneider.?

He will be playing at the Little Caf until 11:30 p.m. The perfor-mance is free and open to the public.
