The Fraternity Presidents’ Council is providing students a night out without the strings attached. The FPC sponsored Tuesday Night Out provides all members of the community with an opportunity to engage in Greek life without attending a rush event or passing through the doors of the Greek’s humble homes.
The idea is for underclassmen to get a chance to interact with older students in an environment that is completely pressure free. Students are not asked to sign-in or give their phone numbers. The only requirement is that having a good time is mandatory.
However, the evening is a campus- wide event, open to all students, male and female, regardless of age.
The local bar scene at The Keg will supply students with a live Disc Jockey and a cool, relaxed atmosphere. More importantly, underage attendees will receive free soda and all students will be provided with transportation from ITS Center. Buses will run throughout the evening, beginning at 9:30 p.m. and ending at 1:30 a.m. Moreover, The Keg is offering those who are able to drink legally fantastic prices on drinks until 11:00 p.m., with a minimal increase in price in the later part of the evening.
There will be a $2 cover charge at the door for all of those who attend. To contrast this cover charge, prizes will be distributed to raffle ticket winners.
In addition, these Tuesdays will be a feature of campus nightlife for the rest of the semester. Hopefully, they will provide freshmen with an interest in the Greek community.
These events will give them several opportunities to converse with older fraternity and sorority members who can give them the honest low-down on what Greek life is like.
Also, rush for upperclassmen boys begins this week. Be sure to keep your eyes open on campus for fliers informing you about dates and times for rush events that will take place over the course of the week.
Overall, the FPC is offering another excellent social opportunity for all students to enjoy.
Whether you have an interest in becoming a part of the Greek community or no interest at all, everyone should take advantage of these enjoyable evenings.
