UR came up short this weekend in a high-scoring affair against Union College. Junior Nate Gibbons paced the Yellowjackets, scoring on special teams and returning two kickoffs 85 and 82 yards for touchdowns. Gibbons ended the game with 254 return yards. Offensively the Yellowjackets racked up 303 yards of total offense. Sophomore running back Pat O’Brien led the running game with 87 yards on just nine carries and had two touchdowns. Junior quarterback Aaron Molisani ended the game with 193 yards on 12 of 28 passing, which included a late-scoring strike to junior wide receiver David Ferris. The Yellowjackets will be searching for their first league victory as they battle Liberty League foe St. Lawrence University this Saturday at Fauver Stadium at 1:30 p.m.Allard can be reached at dallard@campustimes.org.
