Two vehicles were stolen and a third was broken into while parked in Valentine Parking Lot between 11:58 p.m. on Jan. 27 and 4:45 p.m. on Jan. 28, according to UR Security Investigator Dan Lafferty.

The vehicles stolen were a Mercury Sable and a Toyota Camry. Both belonged to undergraduate students, according to UR Security.

The vehicle broken into was a Dodge Intrepid, according to Lafferty. The damages to the car include a hole that was drilled through the door lock and damage to the steering column, according to UR Security.

A van stolen earlier in the day from Brighton was left in Valentine Lot by an unidentified suspect who then apparently stole one of the two vehicles, according to Lafferty.

The Rochester Police Department was notified and responded, according to UR Security.

Oldsmobile stolen from Goler Lot

A 1995 Oldsmobile was stolen from Goler Parking Lot sometime between Jan. 18 and Jan. 29 by an unidentified suspect, according to Lafferty. RPD was notified and responded, according to UR Security.

Student receives unwanted phone calls in deKiewiet

A deKiewiet resident reported receiving several unwanted and annoying calls from an unidentified caller, according to UR Security.

Voice messages, as well as direct conversation calls, are being investigated for this case, according to Lafferty.

BB-type gun found in student’s room in Anderson Tower

A BB-type gun was found in a student’s room in Anderson Tower during a routine safety inspection, according to Lafferty.

The item was confiscated by UR Security because weapons are not allowed in residence rooms or on campus in general, according to UR Security. It will be evaluated to determine the final disposition, according to Lafferty.

The owner of the gun was identified and spoken to by Residential Life staff, according to UR Security.

Wallet and coat stolen from Sue B.

An undergraduate visiting the Susan B. Anthony Residence Halls discovered her purse was stolen on Jan. 28, according to UR Security.

She put her purse and coat down in the hallway while using the bathroom, and upon returning, she discovered that her purse and coat were gone, according to Lafferty.

The purse contained approximated $38 in cash, credit cards and other items, according to UR Security. It is unknown who took the items and presently the victim has not filed a police report.
