An unidentified suspect reportedly stole a bag from the counter area in the computer store in Fauver Stadium, according to UR Security.

The incident occurred at 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 30, according to Security.

The bag had been left momentarily unattended by a staff member.

The staff member reportedly went to another area of the store to retrieve some paperwork, according to UR Security Investigator Dan Lafferty.

A police report was to be filed at a later time, according to Security.

The estimated value of the bag is around $500, according to Security.

Cash from student’s wallet stolen

An unidentified suspect stole $200 in cash from a student’s wallet, according to Lafferty.

The student was working in the Common Ground Caf on Nov. 20, according to UR Security.

The theft occurred sometime between 6 and 8 p.m., according to Security.

The student’s book bag was placed in a closet in the caf area, according to Lafferty.

The student was unsure whether or not he was going to file a report with the Rochester Police Department, according to Security.

Smoke detectors

activated at Crosby

Two smoke detectors were activated in Crosby Hall at 3:03 p.m. on Nov. 26, according to Lafferty.

UR Security and the Rochester Fire Department reported to the area.

The cause of the smoke detector activation was a pan of burnt pasta, according to UR Security.

It was located in the sink inside room 110, according to Lafferty.

The RFD cleared and secured the scene, according to UR Security.

There were no injuries.

Bicycles stolen from residence halls

Two students reported bicycle thefts over the past weekend, according to Security.

The first, a resident of Tiernan Hall, reported that his bike was stolen between Nov. 23 and 28, according to Lafferty.

The bike was secured to a handrail outside of the building via a cable lock, according to Security.

The victim elected not to notify police at the time of the report, according to UR Security.

Meanwhile, another student also reported the theft of his bike sometime between Nov. 24 and 28, according to UR Security.

The student was a resident of Hoeing Hall, according to Security.

The bike was also secured to a handrail outside the building with a chain lock, according to UR Security.

At the time of the report, the victim elected not to notify the police, according to Lafferty.
