Class of 2004,

My name is Carl Chastain, and I am a first year mechanical engineering major. I am running to represent our class as a student senator. I can?t give you an extensive list of accomplishments or committees that I have become involved with in my first year as a student here. I do, however, feel strongly about making changes at the University of Rochester. I have certainly done my fair share of complaining about things that I want changed. Now is my opportunity to act, and I am eager to do so. Undoubtedly, there are candidates who have long lists of organizations and committees that they are involved with. I hope you understand that I am doing this not as one more thing that I can put on my resume. This is the first time that I have become involved with an organization here, and I will be able to devote my full attention to doing a thorough job. I am excited to represent our class, and I hope to receive your vote.
