When I get hangry, the desperation for a snack can sometimes mean gorging on chips or an ungodly amount of cheese. But this smoothie is a total game-changer. It is fast, filling, and satisfying. Ok, now hear me out on the salt situation. A pinch of salt will not make the smoothie salty. It just balances out the sweetness of the bananas. This is perfect for breakfast and  great on the go. With this, I know I am eating something that is both healthy and filling.

 

Total time: 10 minutes 

Active time: 7 minutes

 

Ingredients: 

  • 2 frozen bananas 
  • 3/4 cup almond milk 
  • 2 tbsp unsalted almond or peanut butter 
  • 1 pinch of salt 

Recommended toppings:

  • Berries
  • Unsweetened coconut flakes 
  • Cacao nibs 
  • Granola 
  • Chia seeds 

Equipment:

  • Blender 
  • Cutting board 
  • Knife 

Instructions:

  • Break bananas into small chunks 
  • Put all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth 
  • Apply with desired toppings
