For the last home game of the season, the URochester Yellowjackets competed against the Carnegie Mellon Tartans. This game was also their senior celebration, so all seven seniors received a sweet recognition with flowers and spiel while they walked to center field with their family before the game began.

The game itself was very offensively heavy for URochester to start, with the majority of the first half of the game spent on the Tartans side of the field. With four wide shots-on-goal, the ’Jackets started the game strong, and maintained their position against Carnegie Mellon. Despite the shots, the score remained 0–0 at the end of the half.

Opening the second half of the game, Tartans’ third-year Midfield Tristan Gonzalez (19) scored the first goal. A few minutes later, fourth-year Midfield Milos Bisenic (7) scored the first point for the ’Jackets, his seventh goal of the season.

Unfortunately, this 1–1 tie didn’t last long, as Gonzalez scored the Tartans’ second and final goal of the game, bringing the score to 2–1 Tartans. Though both teams had many more attempts at a goal, each were either blocked or wide, and the game ended with a 1–2 loss for the ’Jackets.

Though the final home game of the season wasn’t an ideal score, the ’Jackets will play their last game of the regular season in Georgia, against the Emory University Eagles on Nov. 7.
