UR announces new president

UR has announced that Dean of the School of Law at Washington University in St. Louis Joel Seligman will replace President Thomas Jackson on July 1, 2005.

A public reception for students, faculty and staff will take place at 2 p.m. in Hirst Lounge.

As recently as the early 2010s, it was standard practice for surgeons to provide 30 to 40 or more opioid pills for common, minimally invasive procedures. Most of these pills, however, would remain untouched, left over in the patient’s medical cabinet or kitchen pantries for potential misuse.
