CD player stolen from car in Valentine Lot

A car parked in Valentine Lot was broken into sometime between 12 p.m. on April 2 and 4 a.m. on April 7.

According to a security report, an undergraduate student returned to his car to find that unidentified suspect(s) broke the rear passenger side window out of his car.

A CD player estimated by security to be worth $120 was stolen.

Damage to the window was estimated to be $100.

Two bass bows stolen from Lovejoy

Two bass bows valued at an estimated $1,700 were stolen from a room in Lovejoy between the hours of April 13 at 1 p.m. and April 15 at 8 p.m. by unidentified suspect(s) who entered an undergraduate’s room.

The bows were being stored in an old pool cue case and were stolen from inside the student’s instrument case, said Security Investigator Dan Lafferty.

Security reports that the victim said his room was secured with the exception of some period of time on April 14.

Security said that the victim plans on filing a police report with the Rochester Police Department at a later time.

Bicycle theft reported in Hoeing Hall

According to security, a female undergraduate reported that her bicycle was stolen from the first floor of Hoeing Hall.

The theft occurred sometime between April 9 at 11 p.m. and early morning on April 10.

Security reported that the bicycle was left unlocked in the hallway while the student visited her friends.

The bike was estimated to have a value of $300.

Cash stolen from wallet in Gilbert

Security reports indicate that a student who lives in Gilbert Hall reported that unidentified suspect(s) entered his room and stole cash from his wallet.

The theft occurred on April 14 between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m.

The wallet had been in the student’s backpack and $40 was taken from it.

Security was unable to determine whether the room had been locked during the period of time in question.

The victim is contemplating filing a police report at a later time, security said.

Bow stolen from Eastman annex

An undergraduate student at Eastman School of music reported to security that her bass bow was stolen from a hallway on the fourth floor of the Eastman School annex.

The bow was stolen sometime between April 14 at 9:45 p.m. and April 15 at 3 p.m.

The bow, valued at $1,200, was accidentally left on a chair when the student left a class. When she returned, it had disappeared.

A report was filed with the Rochester Police.
