Celebrate life on Earth with Grass-roots Saturday, April 21 from noon to 5 p.m.
Grassroots is hosting its annual Earth Day festival on the Wilson Quad lawn, outside Wilson Commons.
?Earth Day is a great way to celebrate our coexistence on Earth with all of its creatures,? senior and member Dustin Tingley said. ?Not only will there be lively entertainment, but there will be information on how you can live a more environmentally friendly lifestyle, as well as vendors selling environmentally friendly goods.?
Earth Day will feature five bands performing on the lawn, including ?Who is Johnny Flavorjeans?? ?The Count? and ?Intellectual Applesauce.? Each band will perform an hour set.
The Strong Jugglers will be giving a performance at 2 p.m. on the lawn as well.
There will also be vendors and repres-entatives from groups such as Lori?s Natural Food, the Vegetarian Society and the Sierra Club. A big banner will be set up that students can help paint to honor Earth and our environment.
The event is free and open to the public, but bring money to spend at the vendor booths.
