It’s no secret that Valentine’s Day sucks when you’re single. Seeing couples around campus, loving each other, can be pretty annoying. And don’t forget the fact that on the one day of the year that you’re supposed to be guaranteed sex – you’re not going to get any. But what if you could purchase the ingredients at the Corner Store to make something supposedly better than sex?

Better than Sex Cake

Ingredients:1 box of yellow cake mix1 can of crushed pineapples1 1/3 cups of sugar1 box of vanilla pudding1 cup of flaked coconut1 1/2 cups of cream

Directions:Prepare yellow cake mix as directed on the box. Use a greased 9 x 13 inch pan and bake for 30 minutes. While the cake is baking, mix the pineapple and one cup of sugar in a saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Remove the mixture from the heat and allow to cool. Remove the cake from the oven and using a fork, poke holes into the cake. Slowly pour the pineapple mixture over the cake and set it aside. Prepare the pudding as directed on the box. Gently spread the pudding over the cake and refrigerate for three hours. Whip the cream and remaining sugar until its hard and stiff. Cover the top of the cake with the crme mixture and serve.Gorode can be reached at kgorode@campustimes.org.
