Just when you thought the semester was almost over, and it?s about time to prepare for the summer, April comes and slaps you across the face with a big fairy wand.
Yes, it is that time of the year again. When dandelions loom, jackets go back in the closet and, how can I forget, Gay Pride Month arrives.
Gay Pride Month, also known as Gaypril, is kicking off soon. So, put on those Prada high heels and start attending the events.
The Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Friends Association has arranged a number of great events that are bound to start your tails a-wagging.
First, GLBFA movie night will take place Wednesday, April 18. The site is yet to be determined.
Second, folk singer Scott Freedman will delight us April 19 when he plays in the Common Ground Caf, where the rainbow flag will be displayed throughout the month of April.
Another big event is the aptly titled Big Gay Party.
GLBFA and the Drama House came together to organize this absolutely super party, so show support by attending and dancing to everything from house and disco to the Goddesses Madonna and Cher on Friday the 20th.
Comedy Night will take place in the May Room Sunday, April 22., featuring the hilarious Suzanne Westenhoefer and Bob Smith, who have appeared on such shows as ?Politically Incorrect? and ?HBO Comedy Half Hour.?
That?s not all! The annual BandFest is happening April 27 in the May Room. Last year Pansy Division and Boys of Now took the stage.
This year, the line up includes Limp Wrist, Lovesick and Kiki & Herb with more special guests. This is sure to be a crowd pleaser. Tickets will be available at the Common Market.

Although this project is still in the beginning stages, GLBFA and the Sigma Delta Tau sisters might be joining forces to put together another Drag Show, after the great reception of last semester?s show.
