Given the statements brought to light in the past day, the Campus Times no longer feels comfortable endorsing juniors Delvin Moody and Courtney “C.J.” Thomas for Students’ Association president and vice president and has retracted its endorsement article.

The CT staff was unaware of Moody’s statements, posted on Facebook between 2011 and early 2017, which many students believe are homophobic, transphobic, and misogynist. He has since apologized.

Our staff condemns his posts, and it is unfortunate we did not know about them beforehand.

We will not be issuing a second endorsement.
