While most of UR was relaxing during this past winter break, UR basketball was aiming for success in the Chase Scholarship Tournament. The final three rounds of the tournament gave the men?s basketball team a second place finish after a disappointing loss to Geneseo. After easily defeating RIT with a 85-59 victory, led by senior Jeff Larson and freshman Andy Larkin?s 21 points, the Jackets went on to the semifinals to meet Nazareth College. During the Nazareth game, Larkin again came up huge for UR and led the team on the floor with 15 points in its 70-48 victory. Sophomore point guard Tim Sweeney also added 14 points. But their success stopped one step short. It wasn?t until the championship game that the Yellowjackets met their match. Ge-neseo rallied to defeat UR 65-61 and captured the championship.Sophomore Jeff Joss led UR with 26 points and later received second team honors for the All-Tournament Team. In addition, Larson?s 14 points and Larkin?s 12 points, combined with their previous efforts, earned them All-Tournament First Team honors.

We also introduce ourselves and our projects, what we hope to achieve during our terms, and we provide progress updates regarding past management’s pursuits. Read More
