Senior Jeff Piscitelli is the quarterback for the UR football team. He was nominated by teammates to be this week’s Notable Yellowjacket.

Coach Mark Kreydt has noted Piscitelli’s success here at UR, pointing out that his statistics are ahead of most UR quarterbacks. He is currently in first for career total offense with 5,020 yards and second in career passing with 4,271 yards.

Piscitelli exploded offensively in this year’s home opener against St. John Fisher College as he threw for 280 yards and 3 TD passes, and ran for 86 on the ground with a rushing TD. Jeff has played since age eight, and gained a lot of experience at Springville Griffith High School before coming to UR.

As a three-year captain, Jeff has been a leader and confidence builder to the football team, and has helped moved the football program in the right direction. Jeff will graduate with an economics degree, and from there he hopes to continue in athletics, perhaps as a coach at the collegiate level.

A team of researchers led by URMC’s Dr. Jacob Moalem set out to reduce these opioid overprescriptions. Read More
