Kwame Anthony Appiah to visit UR

Kwame Anthony Appiah, called “one of the world’s seven most powerful thinkers,” will be visiting UR from Feb. 21-24. Appiah’s visit is part of a program to bring scholars from the humanities to campus every year. Appiah is the Laurance S. Rockefeller University Professor of Philosophy and director of the University Center for Human Values at Princeton University. He is also an accomplished author.

While here, Appiah will be meeting with students and faculty to discuss his work. He will also be holding two public talks: African Identities on Wednesday at 5 p.m. in the Hawkins Carlson Room and Islam and the West on Thursday at 4 p.m. in the Hawkins-Carlson Room.

More information about the schedule of events for Appiah’s visit can be found here.
