For the first time in over 14 years, the Students' Association Senate rejected a budget proposal for next year's distribution of SA funds, by a vote of 10-5. Senators voted against the budget in its entirety, citing objections to a five percent increase in Campus Activities Board's funding.

Rochester's winter months seem to have finally ended. The skirts, sandals and shorts have reappeared, and we have had more than a few beautiful days. How can one be sure that spring is here to stay and that it will not snow tomorrow, as it did on Sunday? One need only look past the Frisbee players who have been outside for weeks, even months, to see the sport (or competitive athletic activity) that signifies the official arrival of spring at UR: Campus golf.

Williams claims first individual title at UAAs

Freshman Ryan Williams picked a good time to come into his own. This past week, the newcomer shot a two-over 146 through two rounds at the University Athletic Association Championships to win the individual title. The Championship - played at the Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge in Orlando, Fla.

"A Family Affair" provides comedy and satire

A family affair: most people groan at the thought. We all have a cheek-pinching grandma we'd like to avoid or a crazy uncle whose ramblings we'd rather not suffer through. We complain the entire way to the affair, paste on a fake smile throughout the event and praise whatever is good in the world when we finally escape.
